Ephedra is back.

Nutraceutical challenged the FDA's ban of Ephedra products arguing that Ephedra "has been safely consumed" for hundreds of years and the judge agreed, sending the matter back to the FDA "for further rulemaking consistent with the court's opinion." This stops the FDA from taking enforcement action against companies selling ephedra supplements with 10 mg or less of Ephedra alkaloids.

If you want more detailed information, this link opens a PDF file of the Complete Ephedra Case Court Ruling.

Despite this ruling many supplement manufacturers are too chicken to assert their rights to sell Ephedra supplements. But fortunately there are companies out there with a spine and they deserve your support. Our Ephedra/Ephedrine price comparison page has quite a selection including clones of old favorites like Ripped Fuel, Hydroxycut, Xenadrine RFA-1, Stacker 2, Metabolife 356, etc.

Keep an eye on this page and our Ephedra/ephedrine price comparison page for the latest developments in the Ephedra battle.

Good News! Drumlib.com is currently being rebuilt in Drupal, the amazing content management system that powered Howard Deans groundbreaking internet organizing. Check out CivicSpace Labs to see the power of Drupal in action.

Drumlib.com will remain fully functional in its current state until we make the switch to Drupal. Of course, we are keeping the Vitamin Price Comparison current and all my articles are still readily available here, so feel free to explore the site.

The upcoming switch to a Drupal-based site will be a great evolutionary leap that will enable me to spend more time adding information to the site, and less time doing webmaster chores. The information will be organized better and you will be able to post comments and questions. Lots of interactivity! And our Vitamin Price Comparison will be greatly enhanced and expanded.

This new system will make DrumLib.com an even better resource for determining what supplements really work and finding the best deals based on meaningful price comparisons like the cost of a standardized dose. It's a lot of work but we do it because we know and love alternative medicine. So when you save money at our Vitamin Price Comparison, you are helping us live our passion and be independent from the pee-in-a-jar corporate world that would never dare speak the truth about ephedrine/caffeine or other controversial topics. Thank you!

And soon we will take it to the next level. After spending a lot of time testing different systems, I'm convinced that Drupal has the same revolutionary potential for health and science sites that it has demonstrated with grassroots political organizations. It will be DrumLib.com on vitamin T (bodybuilders will understand). This is going to be so cool. I can't wait....

Your Access To Vitamins Is In DANGER

"....these products (dietary supplements) are never going to carry health claims because they are never going to exist in high enough potencies to merit them."

"So where are we in the end? Engaged in a battle for global dietary supplement regulation, a battle that means life or death for some of us, a battle that we are losing, to a Europe that doesn’t really believe in supplementation except on doctor’s orders."

Read the Article and watch the Video!

People often talk about the deep political division between the Left and the Right but, as this health freedom issue illustrates, this is a false dichotomy: both Republicans and Democrats have been pushing for big, intrusive government because they are both statists.

The peripheral differences camouflage this all-important similarity. Argue all you want, no matter which side wins, you get bigger, more intrusive government.

This contrived left/right division gives people the illusion of choice and keeps them from seeing and discussing the real alternative: the small, non-intrusive, constitutionally-limited type of government that Libertarians and others are trying to bring back.

Left and Right are merely two flavors of big government. Statist/Non-Statist is the real choice/debate.
