"The only source of unbiased information left to us is the
research presented in peer-reviewed scientific journals. That's the precise and accurate
science that gave you every faucet of modern life, from the car that you drive to the
fillings in your teeth." |
Sorry! Document retrieval is currently unavailable because we are in the middle of a big expansion and upgrade of this web site. Please check back. We hope to be up and running again real soon. You can search PubMed and order any medical article for only $3.50. You can also order any article from my posts. Just paste the articles ID number (PMID) into the box in the form. If the article doesn't have a PMID number, you can send what you have about it in the "Address" box. We will check the availability of the articles and send you an e-mail. You can pay by check, money order, or a variety of options at PayPal. PayPal is a lot faster than snail mail. And as an article in PC World said, it's as "easy as e-mail." Full text articles are $3.50 (in the 48 states). There is NO shipping, handling, or any hidden fees. Our goal is to bring truth to the people as inexpensively as possible. If you live outside the 48 states, please e-mail us for details. Before placing an order with Selma's Document Retrieval Service, please read the terms and conditions and the warning concerning copyright restrictions. Terms and ConditionsThe quality of the photocopies depends on the condition of the document being copied, the condition of the machines at the library, how tightly the journals are bound, etc. In addition, some journals are so large that it is practically impossible to get the footer on an 8.5" x 11" photocopy. Selma personally inspects every photocopy and her standards are quite high, however, anyone who requests documents should be aware of the realities of photocopying medical journals. |

It is entirely the responsibility of the customer to keep track of his references. We cannot give you a refund because you find that you ordered a document that you already have. It is also your responsibility to enter the correct PMID numbers for the articles that you want. In order to avoid mistakes, it is strongly recommended that you copy and paste the PMID numbers from the PubMed web site. Because the travel expenses and time spent finding an article is not related to the length of the article, we cannot give "discounts" on short articles or abstracts. Likewise, we do not charge more for long articles. Unusual requests can be discussed via e-mail prior to our accepting the order. Sorry Doc, we do NOT accept "rush" orders. Although we accept orders from everyone, the primary goal of Selma's Document Retrieval Service is to provide research materials -- as inexpensively as possible -- to obese people and others who are physically not able to go to a medical library. Please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery. Warning Concerning Copyright RestrictionsThe Copyright Law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the Law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement. I reserve the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in my judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law. |
